Project value has been adjusted to reflect approximate current-day value as at 2025, based upon industry recognised construction indexation published by Rawlinson.

The works were undertaken adjacent to an existing arterial road carrying over 35,000 vehicles daily, requiring meticulous staging and traffic management to maintain flow and safety.

The project included 20,000m³ of earthworks, extensive subgrade treatment, and construction of 20,000m² of new asphalt pavement. Key infrastructure works comprised 1,000 linear metres of stormwater reticulation, 320 metres of sewer reticulation, and 250 metres of water reticulation. Electrical installations spanned the entire length of the duplication, incorporating street lighting, ITS backbone, Energex conduits, and two new signalised intersections. Additional features included 4,000m² of concrete footpaths, 330 metres of kerb, 900m² of stencilled concrete infill, and 10,000m² of landscaping.

Delivered under live traffic conditions and in close proximity to residential areas, the project adhered to City of Gold Coast and DTMR standards. Alder’s collaborative approach resolved complex ground conditions and supported the progression of the adjacent Homemaker Centre development.
