Transforming an active automotive dealership into a contemporary showroom required a carefully staged refurbishment that balanced design upgrades with uninterrupted operations. Alder revitalised the existing facility, delivering a modernised interior aligned with current brand standards while maintaining full functionality throughout the works.
Project value has been adjusted to reflect approximate current-day value as at 2025, based upon industry recognised construction indexation published by Rawlinson.
Completed in a live environment, requiring works to be carefully staged around ongoing dealership activities, including the operational service department, car wash and parking facilities.
Completed across two stages, allowing works to proceed while maintaining day-to-day dealership operations. Temporary facility reconfiguration and storage arrangements supported the transition between construction phases.
Construction activities were undertaken while the car wash, parking facilities and adjacent servicing department remained operational. Careful planning was required to manage access, safety and operational continuity throughout the refurbishment.
The existing showroom was reconfigured to create new offices and ancillary spaces while improving functionality and aligning the facility with BMW's corporate branding.
Works included a comprehensive internal fit-out, refurbishment of amenities, installation of an internal green wall, external repainting, cleaning and upgrades to driveway finishes and existing stairs.
The successful delivery of the refurbishment contributed to Alder being awarded the subsequent Brisbane BMW Refurbishment project, reflecting the client's confidence in the project outcome and delivery approach.
