Alder was entrusted with the delivery of this state-of-the-art 469-seat auditorium, following the successful completion of two earlier stages at the campus.

Despite tight site constraints—surrounded by operational classroom blocks, a performing arts centre, a 6-metre retaining wall, and a single-lane access road—the project was delivered seamlessly. The theatre featured a full fly tower with electrically operated hoisting and lighting bars, an operable orchestra lift for flexible use, and a future-ready audio-visual system. Beneath the seating area, a 60,000L rainwater tank was installed to service the amenities.

Additional inclusions comprised a basement with dressing rooms, dance facilities, and storage, as well as three soundproof tuition rooms and a theatre manager’s office on the first floor. The interior was finished with Tasmanian myrtle acoustic wall cladding and ceiling deflection panels.
