This world-class attraction offers a fully immersive 4D experience, combining motion with wind, sound, light, mist, and scent effects to transport guests on a breathtaking simulated flight across Australia.
Delivered in a live theme park environment, the project required a highly adaptive approach, with design and construction evolving in parallel. Alder worked closely with Ardent Leisure and key stakeholders to manage daily design changes and complex logistics within a tight program. Works included the demolition of existing structures, asbestos removal, and the installation of 600mm bored piers to a depth of 14 metres. Locally sourced and fabricated structural steel was installed through roof sections using multiple cranes, while a five-layer soundproof roofing system ensured optimal acoustic performance. Additional features included 3.6m-high shotcrete walls and a fully engineered support system for the ride’s integration.
