Existing structures were carefully demolished with approximately 95% of materials recycled.
The former visitor centre and café were successfully repurposed into council chambers and flexible community facilities, creating a contemporary multipurpose space for public use.
New services infrastructure, utility upgrades and reticulation works were delivered to support increased site capacity and accommodate the operational requirements of more than 100 staff.
The project included construction of a new warehouse, façade upgrades to unify the site's appearance and extensive external works comprising hardstand areas, car parking, roadworks, civil infrastructure and landscaping.

Redevelopment of the former Thursday Plantation site involved a combination of demolition, refurbishment and new construction works. The scope included conversion of existing buildings into a multi‑level office and operations facility, upgrades to council chambers and public spaces, construction of a new warehouse with vehicle servicing capabilities, and installation of new services infrastructure to support increased staff capacity. External works comprised new car parks, heavy vehicle hardstand areas, roadworks, civil infrastructure and landscaping.
Delivered within an operational site, the project required careful staging to maintain business‑as‑usual activities, including provision of temporary facilities for existing staff. Alder worked collaboratively with stakeholders to refine the design, address latent conditions and preserve site ecology, achieving a functional and cohesive workplace that supports long‑term operational needs.
