This project played a vital role in strengthening water security for the region.

The reservoir measured 62 metres in diameter and stood 11 metres high, supported by 36 internal columns and over 1,300m³ of concrete. Construction highlights included a 3,000m² post-tensioned slab poured in a single operation, three perimeter wall lifts, and installation of 350 tonnes of reinforcement with 100km of steel tendons. The structure was fully enclosed with 90 tonnes of structural steel and metal roofing, complemented by ancillary works such as ladders, platforms, and handrails. Electrical and telemetry systems were integrated, along with external works including access roads, fencing, and drainage.

Despite weather-related challenges, Alder completed the project ahead of schedule through meticulous planning and strict site controls—delivering a critical asset for the region’s water network.
