Stage 5 of the Mooloolaba to Minyama Separated Bikeway introduced a 66-metre, three-span pedestrian and cycle bridge across the environmentally sensitive Mayes Canal, improving connectivity, safety, and reducing traffic congestion.

The bridge featured a 5-metre-wide shared path, architectural stainless steel balustrades, and pre-cast concrete parapets with wave-pattern detailing. Smart lighting added a dynamic visual element, while stone-pitched revetment walls enhanced the surrounding parklands. Construction required innovative solutions, including delivering piling from rock bunds to minimise environmental impact and mitigate flood risks, all while working within a busy residential and commercial precinct.

Alder Constructions proudly brought this vision to life, blending creativity and technical precision to deliver a landmark bridge for the community.
