Project value has been adjusted to reflect approximate current-day value as at 2025, based upon industry recognised construction indexation published by Rawlinson.

Alder delivered this complex development in an environmentally sensitive area, creating a shared-use footpath and vehicle access from Prince Street to the Sailing Club to better connect the city with its waterfront.

Works included demolition, earthworks in flood zones, and clearing in tidal areas, followed by structural concrete pavements, stormwater drainage, and retaining walls. The precinct was enhanced with shade structures, seating, and disability access, alongside extensive landscaping and revegetation. Historic community facilities were refurbished and upgraded, while a new boat ramp was installed at the Sailing Club. Electrical reticulation and lighting completed the transformation.

The project required diligent environmental management and careful staging to navigate Covid-19 restrictions and major weather events, including flooding in early 2022. By engaging local contractors and suppliers, Alder ensured the delivery of a sustainable, accessible, and visually striking waterfront destination.
