Situated on a 17,366m² site within the Aspire Industrial Park, this multi-stage development included the design and construction of an Asphalt Batching Plant and two-storey commercial office building.
The Asphalt Batching Plant was tailored to meet the operational demands of Colas’ high-impact manufacturing processes. Alder provided full design management and value-engineered solutions, including expanded aggregate storage, B-Double access, and compliance with environmental and hazardous waste regulations. The facility features a laboratory, crew room, workshop, wash bay, and robust infrastructure such as concrete pavements, retaining walls, and underground services.
Adjacent to the plant, Alder constructed a modern office building with nine offices, meeting and board rooms, kitchen facilities, and a covered walkway connecting to the existing workshop. Despite the challenges of building within an operational asphalt plant, the project was completed ahead of schedule. Acoustic performance requirements were met through a collaborative design approach, ensuring a high-quality, functional workspace aligned with Colas’ growth and operational needs.The Asphalt Batching Plant was successfully delivered following Alder’s development of the Aspire Industrial Park subdivision, where Colas acquired their site.
