Each reservoir stood 8 metres high and 25 metres in diameter, connected to the existing facility via an underground pipe network.
Project value has been adjusted to reflect approximate current-day value as at 2025, based upon industry recognised construction indexation published by Rawlinson.
Constructed two 5ML reinforced concrete reservoirs, each 8 meters high and 25 metres in diameter, that improved water storage capacity and strengthened regional water infrastructure.
The project included installation of in-ground and above-ground potable water pipelines and actuated valve infrastructure connecting the new reservoirs to the existing plant.
Careful coordination with plant operators enabled commissioning of the new infrastructure while maintaining uninterrupted service to the community.
Works included installation of underground pits and pipework, along with above-ground drainage infrastructure comprising kerb and channel and surface drains.
The project delivered upgrades to the existing sewer reticulation network within the treatment plant precinct.
Access roads were upgraded to support plant operations and improve site functionality.
Steel stairways, platforms and walkways were installed to provide safe access for ongoing operation and maintenance activities.
The scope incorporated water quality monitoring infrastructure to support operational performance and regulatory requirements.
The upgrade included provisions for future connections to the Wyaralong Water Treatment Plant, supporting long-term network integration and growth.
Each reservoir stood 8 metres high and 25 metres in diameter, connected to the existing facility via an underground pipe network. This upgrade created a critical link to the new 27km pipeline and the SEQ Water Grid, ensuring additional storage capacity and reliability.
Key works included sewer reticulation upgrades, access road improvements, and installation of in-ground and above-ground stormwater systems. Potable water pipelines with actuated valves were integrated alongside reinforced concrete reservoir construction, steel access stairways, platforms, and walkways. Water quality monitoring systems were installed, and commissioning was carefully staged to maintain uninterrupted service throughout the project.
The upgrade also allowed for future connections to Wyaralong Water Treatment Plant, providing long-term resilience for the region’s water infrastructure.
