Alder delivered a comprehensive revitalisation of the Beaudesert Town Centre through a series of integrated road, parking and stormwater infrastructure upgrades designed to improve traffic flow, road safety, accessibility and flood resilience. The works included construction of a new roundabout and road connection between Selwyn Street and Helen Street, upgrades to Short Street and Brisbane Street, expanded parking facilities, major stormwater and culvert infrastructure, and extensive streetscape enhancements.
Project value has been adjusted to reflect approximate current-day value as at 2025, based upon industry recognised construction indexation published by Rawlinson.
Completed within highly trafficked areas of Beaudesert, requiring detailed staging, traffic management and pedestrian access planning.
Constructed significant drainage infrastructure, including bioretention systems and 300 metres of four-cell culvert structures, to support long-term network performance.
Construction was undertaken in difficult geotechnical conditions, including soft subgrade soils with CBR values below 1% and unsuitable wet ground material, requiring careful programme planning and construction management.
Protected the heritage-listed Beaudesert Pig and Calf Saleyard and maintained strict environmental controls while working near Spring Creek.
The project team adapted to changing project requirements, including revised staging following the introduction of Wombat Crossings after contract award. Detailed sequencing also enabled the safe construction of a new roundabout within the existing road alignment without major detours.
Worked closely with council and local businesses to optimise delivery and minimise disruption throughout construction.

The works included construction of a new roundabout and road connection between Selwyn Street and Helen Street, upgrades to Short Street and Brisbane Street, expanded parking facilities, major stormwater and culvert infrastructure, and extensive streetscape enhancements.
The project incorporated bulk earthworks, pavement reconstruction, kerb and channel, traffic islands, footpaths, landscaping, lighting upgrades, road furniture, line marking, a bioretention basin, and the installation and relocation of underground utility services. Delivered within a live and highly trafficked town centre environment, the works required detailed staging, complex traffic and pedestrian management, close stakeholder coordination, night works, and strict environmental and cultural heritage controls. Alder successfully managed challenging ground conditions and evolving project requirements while maintaining community access and ensuring the safe, efficient delivery of the project.
