Alder is proud to be delivering a new $8.6 million social and affordable housing development for Social Futures in Goonellabah, helping address the growing demand for secure, accessible housing across the Northern Rivers region in New South Wales.
The purpose-built development will deliver 18 apartments, comprising nine social housing dwellings and nine affordable housing dwellings, providing much-needed housing options within the Lismore Local Government Area.
Designed to support a diverse range of residents, the three-level development includes a basement carpark, a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments, landscaped communal areas, improved street connections and accessible design features throughout.
The project also incorporates two fully compliant Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) apartments and has been designed to achieve a Liveable Housing Australia Silver Level rating.
Alder has worked closely with Social Futures throughout the design, approvals and construction process to deliver a development that balances accessibility, functionality and long-term liveability.
The project recently reached its topping out milestone, marking completion of the building’s structural framework and another important step towards project completion.

The project continues to strengthen Alder’s growing portfolio of community infrastructure projects across Northern New South Wales and is expected to be completed later this year.
